There is no way a legitimate player could even bother to compete with the conditions the game has put on the table.

This is the part I have problems with. You're not competing with players, you're competing with non-player characters. The only thing preventing anyone from making a level 1 and leveling it to 200 without interacting with any other player between now and then is a sense of practicality and a shortage of time/desire. You letting the dupes get to you is a detriment to your experience, not the dupes themselves.

So duping has no effect on economy?

I never said that duping didn't have an effect on the economy. Traditionally, it deflates things to the point of being affordable for the common player. If Takebacker has complaints about his bossing profit margins, he should go complain to Nexon for requiring scissors of karma to trade the drops in the first place.
