I know that we aren't usually the ones to argue and flame, but in a situation like this, I think it's important that we need to fight back and have our voices heard. Most of the other fansites and forums have already shown their displeasure of the move Nexon made. Even sleepywood in a indirect way. If we all post then nexon can't just turn their head the other way. They will see the fact that they made a mistake, a very stupid one, that might cost them the loss of many of their players.
Anyone agree?

An attack on Southperry was basically an attack at all the fansites. Sleepywood has their own decryptors that post KMS and GMS patch files. Hidden Street has their database that shows all of the data on quests, monsters, exp rates, skills, npcs, maps, and items. Banned Story decrypts files that can be used to simulate avatars with all items, skills, monsters and pets.
Fiel never posted his decryption method just showed what was in the data the night of/after the patch. I don't see how that spoils any surprises, in actuallity it probalby hypes up the players even more. Perfect example of this is the recent release of pirates. Pirates were known to the maple community for awhile now BECAUSE the data was extracted from the .wz files in KMST. This caused hype that eventually lead to the creation of the job by Nexon America for GMS. Crimsonwood Keep would never have been as successful as it was (Even though it really isn't) without the aid of the maps extracted by Southperry. I don't know if I was the only one, but I felt a lot of frustration figuring out the maze in Phantom Forest and was able to use the information about there being 5 different strings for the same maps (crossroads and phatom road) extracted by Fiel to my advantage and finally being able to enjoy the rest of the new maps.
If Southperry takes away from your profits because they show information about your own game. Then what about hidden-street? Don't they practically make the upcoming monster book useless? Does that give you reason to shut them down because they take away an oppurtunity for players to have to buy 2x drop cards to get the monster cards and complete their monster books so that they could have a database of all the monsters?
If you (Nexon) can't understand that attacking your own fansites, thus attacking your own fanbase, thus attacking your own players, thus attacking yourselves, can lead to mass boycott of your most faithful customers (many of the highleveled 1XX players who buy a lot of NX frequenting the fansites), then I don't think you can expect to continue to succeed as well as you have been.
