Well FFA is an incredibly stupid room... FFA in any game is incredibly stupid (at least in the competitive sense). I consider the FFA rooms as "just for fun" because it's obvious how much more some classes benefit more than others.
Teams, however, changes a lot of things simply because there's an actual penalty to dying. A lot of your usefulness and how well you do as a class comes from your kill/death ratio, party (de)buffs, and mobility (which is a biggy) and not solely based on how much damage you can do before you die. There is a place for Mechs, Buccs, and BMs, and MMs in Teams but not so much in FFA.

I did some testing with some friends and found out a couple things:
1) MW does nothing to your damage.
2) IS, DI, and ACB all have the same hitbox horizontally and vertically
3) Paladin's Threaten lowers damage of all types of attacks, including Mages (accuracy debuff doesn't affect Mages though)
4) Shields are roughly 10% damage reduction (at least, based on comparison).
5) HP equips do infact give you more HP so it's not a set amount for everyone. We haven't tested Regular vs HP-Washed though.
6) DoT effect does all its damage immediately on the very first tick of damage and the rest of the "Hit, Hit, Hit, Hit" afterwards does nothing.
7) MATK actually does affect how much damage Mages do and greatly affects how much HP Bishops can Heal; WATK does absolutely nothing.

I'm hoping the revamp will include a room where everyone has 0 BATT regardless of equips and everyone has set HP based on class. Or a custom room feature would be nice too...
