I'm pretty much with shippo on this one. The whole thing is just weird. Like i don't know what's going on with the author's thought process and why he thinks this outcome makes sense. There were better ways to get the "f'uck raven tail" message across without these shenanigans that the hardened members of fairy tail should have caught on to especially with them going into the tournament suspecting foul play in the first place. He could have made the committee rule lucy's victory void somehow. I dunno.
