Seems to me that they did it to appease people that complain about the whole Tommy Gruvich set up which I never even used anyway.
Eating the Sandvich is just no good. If you are making a charge as a heavy you could just throw it down and continue onwards. Now you have to run back hide round a corner and probably end up just being killed anyway. Might as well just go pick up a health pack.
I would have preferred if they just nerfed the healing for picking it up, So you had the option to eat it if you wanted to heal more health. There are much more OP things in the game than the humble Sandvich, oh well.
There is a much greater evil with this patch anyway. They removed the trading system and replaced it with steam trading. I do like steam trading in principle but itÂ’s so slow and gives errors all the time. Not to mention that if you play on a low resolution you can hardly see anything.
