MapleStory 2 - Who Cares?

That screen shot to me feels like Final Fantasy 3 evolving to Secret of Mana, effectively.

Not exactly a huge leap. They still look sprites, not true 3D models, this is just 2.5D at best.

I actually prefer the 2.5D approach when it comes to Maple, to be honest.

There's a long list of franchises that just went to pomegranate when converting to 3D, and a lot of them failed simply because it's exceedingly difficult to create the same look and feel of a sprite-based universe in one that exclusively employs 3D models.
