Yes, this multipet loot bug was around for months now since the release of cannoneers. Was reported in the known glitches and bugs thread http://www.southperry.net/showthread.php?t=51470 . I would've assumed it became common knowledge, and I also thought you only had 1 pet. You cannot have multiple pets out when you want to auto loot, and even with only 1 pet out with auto loot it is still possible to crash. Which I've done so many times already when I go around maps in LHC where you see 30+ bearwolves and my pet goes around by itself auto looting everything.
