I do believe it is viable though to climb the ladder with I climbed from 1100 to 1400 using support almost exclusively. The issue
now is that I have to play carries in solo queue or I'll likely not climb much more.
It definitely can be done though just look at nhat he's a support GOD.

From the low ELO perspective, I don't trust my teammates enough to actually carry a game so I use Karma as a support. If the person I'm supporting sucks I can pick up some of the slack.
