What, no FFXIII-2 thread? POTENTIAL SPOILERS

I'm on the fence about this one. I liked the demo and the first XIII is in my top 5 RPGs, but this one is just didn't get me as hyped.

Is the story as convoluted as I thought?

Define convoluted. Because I consider not knowing the ending from the beginning a good thing.

also, I just beat the "final chapter", protip, it's totally not. More like, ending of the first half of the game. So, I was wrong, it is probably going to be around 70-80 hours playtime for main story after all.
