Getting Ahead of Myself: Thoughts on the Third Archer Explorer & Thief Resistance

Wouldn't it be awesome if the archer branch was a melee one? It'd feel like a paradox.

Regardless of your personal evaluation of yourself,
I feel like a melee Archer would be kinda like a Mercedes.

can't be dual guns! They didn't have gun tech back in the hero days! (at least it wouldn't make any sense. Plus Nexon likes to have some unique-ness to their heroes and 2 guns is pretty much the same as two dualbowGUNS).

Back in what days? The fictional history of Maplestory that hasn't been expounded upon nearly enough to reach a conclusion as to what technologies they had?

All we know is that they, at minimum, had flying boats.
Plus, I could list tens of fictional series in which technology has actually regressed.

As I was browsing through all the post, I remember someone saying something about a bladed boomerang, but reading this one helped finish sparking my thought on this.
Okay guys bare with me on this one, how about, a bowblade? Where you can have melee attacks when the monster is up close and ranged attacks when they are far? Something like a mini fusion between archer and bandit. The best I can describe how it looks in my head(and it looks cool) is like a bladed boomerang with a string, I know it sounds lame but that is the best way I can describe what it looks like.

Already been suggested in this thread in at least one way.
