They should give out the rings for free to all who have started the quest. It would be a fair compensation for having such an awful game server.
that event extension will be lost to the crashes pretty quickly, and was rather pointless. they in effect are just stringing along their already irritated customers to go on for another crash-ridden ride.
They should probably just shut down the server to prevent duping and stop irritating customers.
As for the duping - it probably wil make items cheaper, but they will still be too expensive for me lololol.
No they shouldn't. Whatever compensation they DO give will be better than the ring. Supposing they go with their usual 5k maple points (and lets assume a 1:40 ratio for nx), that would be equivalent to giving everyone 200 mill. Now you tell me how much a ring that everyone has is going to be worth. Evo Ring II 17's are selling for less than 100, so imagine a ring with an outrageously higher availability. How much would they be worth, huh? Same concept with duping items. Eventually, items will be duped to a point where the supply is so great, it isn't even worth it anymore (though hopefully we never get there).
Besides, giving out a ring does not solve the problem with the event (staying online for an hour). You have your ring. Wonderful. Now, how will you enjoy it when the server is still dcing every 5 minutes? What they need to do is stop whatever is causing the servers to act up, THEN extend the event by whatever amount is fair, and then continue the event from there. Yes, its frustrating for those who try over and over to stay logged on for an hour to do the rings (myself included), but giving a ring to everyone isn't going to solve the problem. Why are people making multiple rings? Perhaps for multiple characters, but primarily for profit. How satisfied do you think these people will be when everyone gets a ring, and its worth 5 mill each?
