A person who never admits they're wrong and is abusive is a person who should be avoided at all costs; cause if you don't, (s)he will make you into a peach, undermine your self-esteem and cause you a lot of grief.

There are people who are just simply uneducated. They do not understand rationality, reasoning or argumentation. It doesn't necessarily mean they're 'dumb'. It just means they didn't have the opportunity to be educated or just didn't want to be. I find it better just to nod and agree with these people because since you 'can't win'. If you're not gonna back down to a person who's wrong and won't admit they're wrong, then you're just as stubborn as they are. "The greatest battles are the battles not fought".
