80% epic potential explosion rate?

Anyone want to tell me why it's a conspiracy that scrolls never explode on their given rate? This happens every time there's a new scroll out that has a chance of explosion o_o

And the only way to test this would really be to buy hundreds upon hundreds of scrolls and test them on the same item and then record your progress. So if anyone wants to buy a couple hundred epic 80% scrolls as well as some gears that you don't mind exploding, then by all means do so.

Of course you could also do the math (which happened in a previous thread I believe) and take what's written on the scroll and figure out what the % chance of exploding is. But sometimes, i guess, that's not enough for some people, hence the mass scrolling an the theory of large numbers.

You completely missed the point of the thread.

People just wanted to see what happens if it fails. There's a small confusion and people don't want to be screwed by a nexon typo. For example

Advanced potential scroll: Has a 90% success rate. If it fails, the item will boom.

Epic potential scroll. Has an 80% success rate. If it fails, the item has a 20% chance to boom.

If we take the description for epic potential scroll literally, then

80% success
16% fail
4% boom

But the thing is, nexon could have typo'd the description and it could possibly have meant

Epic potential scroll: Has an 80% chance success rate and a 20% boom rate

Since 80% + 20% = 100%.

If it said "Has an 80% success rate. If it fails, the item has a 50% chance to boom." then there's no confusion because it obviously means an if, then statement.

Again, people didn't want to be screwed due to a nexon typo so they just wanted to clarify. No one was debating if the boom rate really was 4% vs 20%. They were concerned if the boom rate was 100% if fail, which is not the case.
