Possibly because some of the other summons can immobilize enemies anyway, while F/P's summon can't. Phoenix stuns, Freezer/Elquines freezes. Still a good point, though, since I don't think Bahamut for Bishops can immobilize mobs either, but then again, I don't see a reason for Bishops (or even F/Ps) to run around with their Charizards anyway outside of actual training/bossing.

Either way, it's not so much a con as it is a slight annoyance anyway, because what enemies can you accidentally aggro that you can't easily take on if you're going through those areas at all?

And on that note, another pro I forgot to mention for both adventurer archers:

Their summons in 4th Job grant very useful buffs and are (as far as I remember) the only class that can do so.

(that is until the pirates get their revamp, anyway)
