But yeah, you have to take in consideration your budget too.
This should sum up very shortly the classes I tried/own.
NL: Best meso rip off ever. ;[*Their equips are extremely expensive due its broken weapon attack effects at high levels. But their skills are fun and they do high damage. Their low HP is to take in consideration. Careful with bosses and evil high-damage monsters.
DK: The higher your level is, the more other classes will need you [mostly from 3rd job]. You're an important member of a party. Priests and Bishop would die to have a piece of your HB! Then again, its skills leech a lot of HP; You will need a Healer most of the time to train. But equips are pretty average prices.
PADK [Pole Arm DK] or SDK [Spear DK] ?
PADKs provides of the best mobbing damage thanks to Dragon Fury being their main offensive skill. Pole Arms aren't that expensive either. Also, they have a faster offensive casting rate. Sadly, they do slightly lower damage than Spears.
SDKs gets to do more damage to a single monster with Crusher [main offensive skill], but when mobbing using Spear Dragon Fury, the casting time is slower. Spears are more expensive too.
Priest/Bishop: Training a Cleric can be extremely slow. You're mostly the most frequent victim of KS because your class has the lowest damage. It can change if you're LUKless, but you find yourself with a higher rate of deaths. When being a new Priest, you only have low-level skills which is also a pain, but as soon as you get HS maxed, other classes would also die to have that mighty skill in their party. You're mostly dependant to other classes since it is rare for a Priest to solo. Well, the EXP rate is slower, even with HS and monsters are evil to you with their high-damage [meaning higher death percentage]. Then again, you're another important member of a party and will get to level fast whem training with others. Aah, being a Bishop is pretty godly. Genesis provides you one of the best mobbing skills [a max of 99k damage per hit too!]. No more KS'ing for you! ;o
I/L Mage: This is actually a really fun class. They go "Freeze! Have a good time. 8D" At low levels, it can be hard to train, but the more you level the more it is addicting. You get to have access to a good quantity of skills too. But it is mostly the freezing that makes this class awesome.
