The meaning of the word "legit" has been bastardised and violated beyond all recognition. Killing bosses that doesn't have very good drops for trivial amounts of EXP because Nexon bugged it to not attack you doesn't slap you with the "illegit" label, alongside the likes serial botters who introduce billions into the market every day and dupers who release thousands of illegitimately gained items into the market for pure profit, who are labelled with the exact same term. If we want to be really really pedantic, you don't know where anything you've bought in the FM has come from, without a full track of the path it has taken through the game since creation, that Bandana you bought in 2006 could be illegit therefore you are now a scumbag and may as well revel in the fact.
"Legit" used to mean you were an all around good and reasonable player who didn't exploit third party programs for an unfair advantage over others. General fairness was a big deal. This was all there was to it, people knew without having to ask about every tiny thing what was blatantly wrong and they didn't do it, and that made them legit.
Now since general fairness has been thrown to the wayside and everyone's openly self-serving the only meaning of "legit" that hasn't really lost much of its original meaning is the one that states that the big time merchant trying to sell you a 608 definitely will give you that 608 if you give him 150k NX first.
There's nothing wrong with this in-game act. At all. Saying otherwise is unreasonable.
