You are confusing dupers with botters. This thread is about hackers making crazy-stat equips and duping them. They are not going to flood the market with anything.
Botters are who make mesos and previously valuable items like scrolls and pieces-of-time near worthless.

Anyway, I agree with happylight. Some of you guys are overreacting as happens whenever something like this comes up.
Only a tiny percentage of players will be willing and able to pay $500 for a glove. For the average player, it is of no more concern that whatever Ferraris are currently selling for. The people who do buy this stuff keep to themselves (Birds of a feather stick together). I will never cross paths with them.

What are scrolls for?
Improve your gear.
What are Pieces of Time for?
Make clean gear.

What does someone with a 27att VSS need with either of those?
For that matter, why would they buy an empress shoe? The answer is, they wouldn't. When the hackers introduce items with better stats, they make all other equips less valuable - anything legitimate players can hunt.
If there's just one 27 att BWG in the game (or maybe 2) the effect is lessened, but that's not how things are going. There is mass duping going on.

Botters, of course, do the same thing more directly - they hunt the same things legitimate players can, but more quickly (and less human effort). Which does devalue stuff - but it doesn't make it completely obsolete.
