Can't they just edit the entire database and delete any nonweapon item over a certain attack (or stat value)? A few legits whining that they lost legitimate items due to invariable Nexon screwups is vastly preferable to the game being broken entirely. It's pretty much assured that some of the data recorded to individual items could be correlated to these exploited items. Especially if golden hammer uses are logged per item. At the very least they can remove anything + more than max slots +2.

It really shouldn't be too hard for them to do something like that. The only problem is that with EE'd equips, due to the transfer glitch, a LOT of 301 Claws/Bows and 596/608 Stonetooths had their potential AND their enhancements taken away. Because of that, it will be impossible to erase all of the originally EE'd equips, and the new 301 Claws/Bows and Stonetooths that have ~12 stars will be continuously duped, so there is no way to completely get rid of those.
