Also considering you have to "Create" the weapons, I'd be more inclined to do it that way for the possibility of the item coming out above average. It won't really matter if the "Newer" ones come out on "Epic Reveal", since it's getting cubed to Legendary anyways.

Did you not read this topic? "Master Cubes" have a greater chance to increase item rarity / rank than compared to normal miracle cubes.
It's recommended to normal cube to Epic and then "Master Cube" all the way to Legendary.
