On a side note, I didn't think so many people on Southperry believed Wizet ran GMS. I thought that was a Basil thing, since I've never seen anyone provide any proof for either side regarding the matter. I'm pretty sure Nexon already owned MapleStory for about half a year before GMS was even made, no? If anyone would care to enlighten me with the general consensus, it would be much appreciated.
O.T. I honestly don't care how long they shut the game off for... stuff like this is just wrong. Even if it hurts Nexon from a business standpoint, they should still address it in the name of morality if nothing else...
Wizet has always owned maplestory, Nexon simply publishes it, the problem is when Nexon became the parent company Wizet "group" lost majority of it's authority. Wizet originally released maplestory as an experiment with how western culture was going to react to it.
Though to compare wizets mere year with less than 100 players to what the game is now, well it's rather steep. Their business practice was fair but no one can actually say how much of the cashshop was influenced by them, although their original policy is that the CS would not have game altering changes. The release of gachapon not only contradicted that, but is a pretty good prediction of when Nexon's policy's took effect.
On Topic;
The games done. They havent even closed it, obviously their message is clear.
