I mean think about it: If Nexon, a company as big as they are, were brought down by the hackers with a selfish and greedy desire, then the next company who wanted to do better would be pressured to obey their commands via the fact that they brought down Nexon through sheer community power.
Either that, or they could be aiming to bring it down permanently. Why though, I have no idea.
Do they feel that a game is worthless, and intend to show that it's better to replace it with drugs, sex, and violence?
Are they trying to promote another game? If so, what about this other game is so great that they need to have a show of cyberterrorism?
Is it that they want to flex their internet muscle so they can rule the internet?
So many questions. Many are empty shots. But one thing's clear: these guys had a motive to do this. It's obvious by their "hatred" of MapleStory, Mabinogi, and any game Nexon displays. But what if the hatred extends beyond that? What if, deep down, they feel a hatred that humans can't comprehend?
While I don't agree with Nexon's policy, I also don't agree that everyone else's fun should be ruined because someone decided to give a horde of monkeys the tools of destruction and mayhem.
I don't think the ones that created this hack thought so far in advance. It's probably just so that they become better known within the hackers community, and maybe they are selling the hack, instead of giving it away (much like BT, also sorry if this is publicly known, I do not stay up-to-date with every hack in GMS). Then their reasons would be nothing more than fame and money, nothing like wanting a new company for Maple or to close Maple down alltogether.
