Another inconsistency is how Afrien is apparently ALIVE and well in Evan's story, yet Freud isn't. Evan's story needs a revamp badly to explain that one (since the story factors that Mercedes doesn't exist at all, yet clearly she does, as referenced by how said scene was retconned in Mercedes' intro).

One other inconsistency is that, given the curse's power, if used at the same power level as the one used on Aran, it should've had a snowfall in Elluel. Yet Rien is the only one affected by eternal winter. Odd, that.

Afrien is alive because onyx dragon.

Rien is a little piece of Leafre that broke off and floated away to very cold place. Eventually people settled on it and passed down the story of Aran with its people.

I do agree that Aran and Evan could use a more current story, because their story pretty outdated with the current continuity.
We know barely anything about Aran's and Freed's pasts right now.

Also, adventurers need a story.
