Not all alcohol tastes bad. There's plenty of mixed concoctions that taste great with no hint of strong liquor. Beer, though, is an acquired taste. (took many a house party near campus with kegs and plastic cups for me to get used to beer)
As for sports; My parents never watched sports as i grew up. (maybe the random Nascar race). It wasn't until i was about 18 and the Detroit Red Wings were doing really well that i started getting into watching hockey. Once i went to college, i got much more interested in sports as many people there were into that. You may very well become interested in alcohol and sports later in your life.
