Oi oi oi, calm down Link. That being said, who here has actually fought Orca so far? If so, can you confirm whether her real English name is Orca or Orchid?
The quests are so zapped apart that I feel like I'm gonna fight Orca before or soon after 3rd advancement. It really feels..... unfair that Mercedes doesn't have a fully spanning storyline - Mushking Empire made sense in that Mercedes was helping a fellow nation, much like Cygnus was helping someone much wiser and much more experienced than her; however, Kerning Square made ZERO sense to her storyline. Seriously, what does she gain in helping some random dude become an epic phailure of a pop star, ruled by copyrights? If anything, Kerning Square seemed like VERY out of place filler in her storyline (would've made more sense if Mercedes was helping the Nymphs in Orbis - at least THAT makes sense, since it would connect with her race's siblings - from 1-30 we sorta mingle with the Sylphs, and from 35-50 we help the Nymphs).
Since an Orbis questline would have EASILY been able to connect to Chryse in that technically speaking Orbis and Chryse are distant neighbors, not to mention Ericsson is a messenger of the Gods of the Nymphs (that's how I see it anyways).
Then from there, the Hiver confrontation would play out, and it would culminate in an epic showdown with Orca in Edelstein, bringing Mercedes' solo timeline to a close as she reunites with Aran, discovers present-day Freud(AKA Evan), and somehow bumps into Phantom during all this mess.
That kind of questline would've been so much more epic, I'd main the Hero classes for the rest of my life if they did that.
