MAKING A PBJ - Knife in PB or J first?

As long as it's a butter knife, and not a steak knife.

People on a forum I used to be on attacked the decision of an elementary school to suspend a girl who brought a steak knife to school. I personally think PB and J can only be applied properly to sammiches by either a butcher knife or a meat cleaver.
