$60 is the baseline price for ALL new ps3/xbox games and El Shaddai is new (August 2011), so it has already dropped by $10. Hopefully it will drop by more soon.
It's NOT just a platforming game. It's an action game to the likes of Devil May Cry (though way weirder from what I played in the demo.)
And finally, stop comparing games to other games. Especially FPS. There is no comparison. In FPS shooters the value is found in multiplayer. If that's your thing, great; money well spent. But for single player games the value is found in a lot of little things like story, length and objectives, among other things. It's absolutely not comparable. Also, a game shouldn't be worth more because it's made by a big company, so get that out of your head. Finally, in regards to graphics... I personally think Battlefield looks horrible. It's not visually appealing whatsoever to me. Whereas there are games like this that I found stunning.
It doesn't take a genius to see which game took more effort to make. El shittai used to cost $60? What a waste of good money. Let me give you a little lesson in common sense. Good and bad are relative. A "good" game is only "good" if you can compare it to other things around it. For example, Pong used to be the best video game because it was the only video game (it was also the worst). So, someone who says that's "good" or "bad" without comparing is just saying empty words.
