I would say he was so excited that he was gonna capture Naruto that lost focus for that instant. If he can take Naruto out, Bee should be easier so he must have seen his fight over with that. Anyway, what tobi said is true, Kakashi and Gai might be awesome ninjas but everyone there is out of their league.

I think its kinda lame that all the Jinchiurikys could use all their Bijuus chakra. If all of the Bijuu Chakra is in each of those edo tensei bodies, woudn't dispelling the technique set the chakra free sending the Bijuu to the afterlife? That would totally ruin Tobi's plans.
