OP means overpowered, which was arguable with just how bad he was at, well, everything else. There's a difference between OP and Broken. Denyplank had a mechanic that shouldn't have been setup as it should, and it caused gameplay issues. It's like a textbook case of being Broken is.
How was he bad at anything else? He scaled extremely well into late game and his farm was monstrous.
