I actually don't recommend using frags on sparks at all, unless you want to get a specific spark guaranteed. The epic spark drop rate seems to have been bumped up in the recent patch, not to mention gifts dropping like candy from Master runs now. You'll want to be giving your gifts to the Royal Court faction NPCs from now on, as that is the faction sells the random epic sparks.

Also, you can put epic sparks that you don't need through the extractor and get epic reset sparks from it. Which is why you should never use frags to buy epic reset sparks from the crest scholars.

that's exactly why i do it, if i get something i don't need from runs/these guys->reset spark, and it's easier than farming 900 fracments for a try at a better enhance (mind you, i do both at the same time kinda.)

The reason why epic resets are still selling in the market baffles me.
