Where I come from, I'd been of legal drinking age since 18. Moved to the US when I was 19, so I turned legal drinking age twice (not that it matters, turns out they don't sell alcohol from stores to people with a foreign ID
). Only ever got slightly drunk once and that was a few months ago (for the first time, even).
Sure, it was fun (because I actually knew when to stop, no hangovers for me), but I still don't get why it's so dang awesome to drink once you hit the age. It's really not that special, at least to me.

I don't even drink due to past family / relative issues. Same reason why I don't smoke either.
