Moldyvort Wrote:Why thank you metalmike. Both those bands were awesome. And again to rob I also like alt rock/metal like staind, stone sour, bush and also older linkin park. I also like some more lighter things like RHCP.
Oh, so you're into other stuff too. Cool. Then I can present you some other bands.
Porcupine Tree

These guys are the s'hit. They do rock ranging from a progressive metal-ish sound to more mellow or psychedelic sound. The band has records that focus on particular genres and it's all pretty diverse.
Blackest Eyes - Porcupine Tree
This one is terribly psychedelic:
Voyage 34 (Phase I) - Porcupine Tree
And last but not least:
Fear Of A Blank Planet
Then there's more filthy stuff, like
Oceansize

These dudes rock my world when I'm in an angry mood, pretty noisy and good vocals:
Amputee - Oceansize
One Day All This Could Be Yours - Oceansize
You didn't tell if you listened to Symphony X though, so I'll just throw a song here, which is one of my favs btw:
Paradise Lost - Symphony X
Moonlapse is a bro and recommended you good stuff, didn't know about it too. Thanks man.
Smooth Criminal Wrote:Lovely. Digging this recommendation. I usually pick up a bit of enka from movies/really old anime soundtracks and yes, I know what you mean about contemporary music mixed with enka. Would something like this work?
SpoilerYeah, I admit it was sort of a way to test how you go about listening to all your music, but you impressed. Thanks!
This reminds me of the enka song featured in Kill Bill that I thought was overkill, and never bothered to look it up.
As for the mixes, that was surprisingly good, even better than what I was expecting,
Don't be shy you, out there lurking the thread.
