I think the main thing that really sets me off is that the animations and skills really just don't suit the concept of Ninja to me, if that makes sense. All the skills are extremely flashy and gaudy, it looks like they are hacking, and it's just a plain eye sore in my opinnion. NLs before this weren't very flashy, but in all honesty do really think a "ninja assassin" would want to be so loud about his moves? Not saying that maple story takes ANY kind of logic into consideration, but compared to the old NLs it's just disappointing. They could have done a lot more regarding stars and claws, it seems you'll never even need to touch so much as one stack of stars from level 30 to 120 and even that might be an overstatement.
