Bot games are okay when you're starting out and learning all the different mechanics or want to try a different build. Later on though you obviously want to switch to doing normals full time to improve your gameplay.
Eventually you'll see bot games as pointless because you'll just faceroll everytime and it doesn't give you any feedback.
I haven't played a bot game in months because they're just a roflstomp mode. If I want to try a different build I'll do it in a normal so I can get accurate feedback as to how the build works against human players. For example when I tried AD Sona a couple days ago in a normal. It was okay; we won but I have more fun actively supporting with her.
