The biggest difference between this BFS and a BFS in a real store: How the money is made.
Nexon profits from the CHARGING of NX in anticipation of getting a good deal. It does not matter if you can actually get an item. You've already charged the NX, and they've already made their money. The whole goal is just to get people to charge NX, not necessarily to encourage buying something in the CS. Then you're just left with a pile of NX after the sale that you have to use up just so that a hacker can't karma all your good pomegranate away.
On the other hand, a real store takes a LOSS on the limited quantity doorbusters just to get you into the store. They do this so that you will hopefully grab something else while you're in there (that isn't a doorbuster), or so that you strengthen your store loyalty (and therefore are more likely to spend money there in the future).
