I usually go with t1 shoes and any building blocks for philo stone that I can.
End up with:
3speed or 5 speed shoes
Frozen Heart
Eleisa's Miracle
BV or FoN as deemed necessary
Aegis (I usually finish this or the FH first after shoes/philo stone)
Guardian Angel
((if one of these isn't needed... maybe the aegis... I get a Rylais))
Sometimes I trade one of the items for a Zhonya's for the AP and for letting me get in another stun in the case I get caught.
Thoughts on the build?
Should I just never grab zhonya's? Does the extra 1% damage not make enough difference (no 1% bonus if I don't get zhonya's)?
Any thoughts on bloodrazor just to add moar %damage when you land bandage toss and start auto attacking to proc the passive?

I usually start with a regrowth pendant and a health pot, clear blue wolves wraiths and golems, go b and grab a philo and optional ward/pots to get the gold flowing rather quickly, clear red and then look for ganks/counterjungling. Going for heart of gold and mercs as core. Then I check team composition and build armour/magic resistance/hp accordingly. Usually through a banshees veil, randuins omen, sunfire cape, guardians angel or frozen heart depending on the situation. I don't really ever buy ap items because he's more useful as pure tank in my opinion. He can still be scary enough when he latches on a squishy and is focused sometimes in that aspect. I guess your build works where you get the tenacity from your philo and build other boots instead. But mobility boots are just plain useless in teamfights and boots of swiftness makes you lose your tankyness early on, not to mention that upgrading your philo early will lose you potential gold and if you don't upgrade it early you miss that valuable tenacity. Razor isn't a good idea in my opinion because I rely more on spells as amumu I guess and only auto attack to apply red/passive. There are many potential tanky builds that can succeed as amumu though because you're mainly helpful for your ultimate which is virtually unaffected by which tank items you build. I'll try your build though and I'll give you feedback on it.
