FrozNlite Wrote:To the haters: pizza, pasta, burgers, etc. can all be prepared in extremely healthy ways. Personal favorite examples:
- Apple and Gouda Turkey burgers (99/1 ground turkey mixed with diced apples and dijon mustard, topped with romaine, slice of gouda, tomato, all between a whole wheat bun)
- Whole wheat rotini mixed with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, lots of spinach, red and yellow pepper, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and diced fat-free sausage (what I've been eating the past two days, absolutely in love with it)
- Whole wheat pizza dough topped with crushed/chopped tomatoes instead of paste, then covered with whatever assortment of vegetables you'd like (broccoli, garlic, onions, olives, parsley, basil, peppers, mushrooms, you name it) and a sprinkling of mozzarella
F'ucking duh. Almost anything in this world can be made healthier if you deconstruct its basic components and substitute healthier options. The best example of this would be sandwiches, which I'm sure is pretty self explanatory if you just look at the options out there.
THIS IS FOR PUBLIC SCHOOLS
