Two days until my ultimatum is up; I close all my accounts permanently; and evict myself permanently from all attachments to this game. May or may not also stop regularly visiting this site as well, since my addictive habits tend to get the better of me more often than not.
This isn't to say I hadn't planned on quitting shortly anyway, since my simple secondary goal of getting all classes to 3rd job was nearly complete. It's pathetic considering I had gone as far as planned out all their final gear and made a spreadsheet regarding progress, but one can only take so much. My main regret however is that I could not end my experience by my own hands rather than having it taken from me. True my situation was far less drastic than others and I had the backups and means to recover relatively easily; but that doesn't change the fact that there is a security hole in the game: and certainly doesn't change the company's history.
I write this now rather than in two days since I have no hope for them.
Side note: How does one change their forum name? I only selected this one when these forums were created since I noticed people using their IGN as a trend at that point, and had established LSJ as my main by that point versus not having one when we were all still part of Sleepywood.
