Naruto Thread (Spoilers For Sure)

I dunno about needing an EMS to get a rinnegan, but both cases where people have suddenly developed rinnegans, they were about to die (Nagato was attacked by random idiots then woke up with a rinnegan and Madara said he got his rinnegan just before he died). Maybe that has something to do with it.

Ok. I have now read two distinctly different reasons for Nagato getting his rinnegan. Obelisk repeatedly mentions that Madara (Tobi) gave Nagato his rinnegan, but I remember it happening in the anime and manga this way. Someone want to clarify? Rather confused.

Good point though. It seems that there is a certain way to awaken the rinnegan, probably something within that sacred Uchiha tablet that only sharingan users can read because Nagato awoke his on accident.
