I've never tried running MS, but VirtualBox is a free VM software you could try.
Ultimately the image was taking up too much HD space and I deleted it, though. MS alone is one thing but installing/patching it within a virtual HD means you need 4-6x the space it takes for windows, the horrible inefficiency of the patcher, etc..
When I got a new desktop, I left the old one bootable, it's 6 years old and runs MS fine. Bit of a power suck so I only turn it on to trade or do HS type things.
