They -need- a shield equipped so they're inherently weaker than demon slayers already because they don't get full potential of the 2h weapon...and demon slayers take 1 or 0 damage from everything while having a power guard that reflects with power reflect damage.
Well, the extra guard chance of shield mastery helps but 10% is really low. Blessing armor's extra 30 seconds is probably the dumbest increase there is.
