Because Lux isn't a consistent source of damage, she lets pomegranate out in huge bursts, and with the cooldowns, it's next to impossible to carry with her unless you're facing a team that doesn't know what it's doing. I play with my 1500 ELO friend a lot, and he reels in some real tough people sometimes. Even with that, I can be like 6-0-2 with Lux at the 20 minute mark, and upwards of 10 kills towards late-game, but even with all that, you just can't carry with her. This is just from my experience though.
