Umm as I recall, the tele jutsu was supposed to rip her skin apart so I think it was pretty necessary for her to save her skin (pun intended) and use her regen technique as Gaara, Naruto, old-kage, etc were about to get their pomegranate wrecked.

By her not needing to get hurt I was refering to that she could have used the flying thunder god technique. The three Jounin didn't mention any limitation on the number of times they can use the technique, they could have picked Tsunade up along with the Mizukage and then taken them both to the battlefield. Instead she said "nahhh, I wanna try to look cool for once". But you know what old lady? win a freaking fight against someone with a higher rank than Jounin and then we can talk
