I still live with my parents, but what I like to do for a quick and filling (but not all that healthy) meal is to toss whatever bits and pieces of meat/vegtables in some broth (noodles optional, I use spaghetti noodles, but a healthier option would be the yolk-less egg noodles that you find in traditional chicken noodle soup) with a spice concoction I made. If you lack broth, just use some boullion(?) of choice.
Another way to save some cash and be fed for a while is to buy a metric butt-load of ground beef (like a 2 inch lasgana pan filled to the brim with it) and freeze whatever you don't eat for later use.
You can also stuff a diced boiled egg in some cup ramen too. Beefs it up immensely.
