Again, just because one type of class (legend) 'officially' did this does not mean the other cannot, and doesn't mean the other can't do it better.I had more important things to do in the morning than to make my argument more sound, was in a rush too. Basically for this whole topic/discussion, I just don't understand why ArchMages should be above Evans in bossing and mobbing. From the beginning, ArchMages were clearly meant for mobbing, atleast that's what it looked like. However with Jump, they are now better bossers then say an avg Evan in Jump. I just don't really see Nexon's perspective in making mobbers(ArchMages/Evans) and turn them into top bossers around at the same time. If there's a way for an Evan to be top bossing of the Mages(Staying as attacking and supporting style) while having a reduced mobbing control and have AMs surpass Evans at mobbing and reduce their bossing potential but enough to be decent, I would have no problem. But Evans, in Nexon's perspective must be good at everything now and ArchMages prior to this update..are also good at everything. O.o I can only wait and see what Nexon does with ArchMages to really see where they are going with this.
"you have to be at least on par in terms of strength against that individual" - Really? What about the collective army battle against 1, which is how the Black Mage was sealed for sure? *Imagines legend weapon attack classes doing most of the DPM in that fight lol* Throw your Black Mage argument out the window please. It doesn't prove anything at all.
But Evans are officially "older" than AMs according to the story-based argument you came up with. See how your argument contradicts itself?
Bringing up the 90 year old man argument is also out-of-the-blue here. That man, even if he has crippling diseases, can still possibly be the only person who can operate USA's nukes effectively due to experience and he could've built the damn things himself. A more realistic scenario that can be attributed to your argument is a worker with 5 years (AMs) experience getting less seniority/health benefits/salary/job security than another worker doing the same exact job with the same exact credentials but only with 2-3 years (Evans) experience. How would this be fair? It wouldn't be.
Where did I imply that you wanted to get rid of ADV classes? Nowhere. Also, it was implied by me that bishops are out of this argument (I'm talking about AMs vs. Evans here only). Let me re-state this clearly: Evans on top of AMs in 1v1+mobbing+support = blasphemy.
Matter of fact I'm all for class balance. Making Evans and AMs equal in terms of DPM would be awesome imo. But if one has to be slightly higher-damaged than the other, it makes more sense for it to be AMs due to my reasons stated above. And don't get me started on support skills. lol
If that's not clear enough, the shorter version is;
Why have two or more branches of the Mage-type classes good at three categories while competing with each other? I don't understand that part. In my opinion; Evan's should be the bossing Mage class, ArchMages with minor supports should be the mobbing class, Bishops obviously supportive(They should really be 100% support with status effects[Poison, Curse, Bleeding, Sealing, some DoT, wep/mag def decrease, hp decreasing, etc to name a few skills and party support]and no attacks if MS operated differently), & Battle Mages could be 'The-jack-of-all-trades' type(Bossing,Mobbing,Support) but can't surpass an Evan's bossing, ArchMages mobbing and Bishop's supporting, just average at all three. Does it make sense to anybody else? Evans seem to be going towards a Tanking-Boss-Mage class with Magic Guard(10% hp increase, high defences, High MP/HP from the skills, etc.). Arch Mages should be going toward mobbing unless Nexon wants to make Evan's updates inferior again. Makes sense to me, mobbers certainly don't need all that to just mob; so that can't be an Evan's future.
