Did it start off implying that teachers are driving up taxes because they're overpaid, then suddenly switch to saying that they're underpaid?

Yes.

Awesome post, really. Of course there's obviously lousy teachers that shouldn't really be paid that much, but I think the good ones are really underpaid.

And New Jersey thinks it's a bright idea to make teacher's salaries dependent on test grades (not standardized test grades, regular school tests). Thank god it's starting next year when I leave this school.
