Why go so far as to SKIP TOWN? That's a little extreme. It's not like they're literally going to drag you into prom and torture you.
I spent my prom with my two best friends sleeping over in a basement and playing games or talking about life or whatever. Time well spent? I dunno. Doesn't really matter though. Nothing in high school ever does.
