Then they release the MTS. After that release, even people who do not charge NX at all are increasing Nexon's profit. Every item that sells in MTS takes 100NX out of the system, which may not seem like much, but quickly adds up. Thus, more reason to keep the game F2P. If P2P, then nobody would use the MTS, because everyone who CAN play will just buy Nexon. In this system, they make more money than a P2P gaming company can make.
However, as a company looking for a profit, they want to motivate people to use the MTS or buy Nexon game cards. Both methods will take money out of their MTS system, and so they release these events.
And as I have said quite a few times already last night, it doesn't exclude anyone from the event. It simply takes less work for someone who buys Nexon Cash, and I recall it once said by a Nexon rep that "people who buy Nexon cash should more benefits."
I strongly agree with that statement. They should get the benefit of having the Nexon Cash faster, because after all, it is them who drive the MTS economy, and who continue to keep this game F2P by covering the costs of the people who don't pay to play this game.

But this franchise is not meant to entertain us but rather get us addicted and play with money. They didn't create the MTS to help NXless players. It was created to convert mesos to NX and then NX to items. The point of having it F2P is that it is more profitable. By advertising F2P, people will choose it over a P2P game. Thus, the more people who play, the more likely someone is to go to Target and buy NX.

Mages are almost completely restricted to training, whereas other classes can easily utilize a boss to gain the good drops. Also, as a paladin, you have mobbing skills, so you shouldn't be complaining. You can rush your way through the map during Maple Crystal event to gain almost as much as a bishop can, because everyone will run out of MP after a while.
And the classes have always been imbalanced. That's why they let you do research on it (hence, the vast majority of guides on differentiation between the classes), and (the text that the 1st and 2nd jobs NPCs tell you), and the 'mini guide' to skills on the Nexon website.
When you make a decision in life, don't regret it. This is like saying, "you go off to college, and later when you graduate in Business, find out that you want to be a Doctor, because they make more money." The point: too late.
LoL, I'm reading and responding and missed this, which is the perfect answer to your argument, Stereo:
Stereo Wrote:I dunno how to formulate it as an argument, but I refuse to play pineapple the economy and resell/merchant all day long. I make money by training, I don't make money by stealing from children. So you're saying all merchants steal from children? That's a VERY pineappleed up statement.
Stereo Wrote:Why should a level 120 character which took under a year [bishop] have more benefits and playability than one that took 2 years [paladin]?And you think it's fair that I'm taking 45 minutes to solo Papulatus at a 90% rate (cuz I die 10% of the time from dispel), even though a Hermit around 10 levels lower than me can solo it in half the time with an apple? I used to use more than an apple in pot costs when I solo, because before I bought my elemental staff, it was taking me around 1 hour 20 minutes, fastest.
I spent a lot of time playing my character and it's definitely not making as much money or as high a level as a similar amount of time would have done for a Priest (note: I'm basing this on exp per hour rates and meso per hour rates reported by priest/bishops since I don't have one). So my decision which was made before 3rd or 4th job was even released affects me forever, and now I suck at events.
Without class balance, you can't say events are fair.

Judgment Wrote:You also forgot to mention a CLEAR form of discrimination against Paladins, the monsters that drop the gold chests are not Paladin-solo friendly. Bishops and Archmages are in the same situation as us when it comes to farming these chests.Oops. Missed this too:
Colyo Wrote:Class balance IMO is irrelevant, you knew what you were getting into when you chose your class. Think of it this way: By picking a Paladin as opposed to a priest, you chose a higher game "difficulty level". My point is, don't complain about something being harder on your class, if you belive a class has been whacked in this manner, it is your own fault in the end for continueing to play that class if you aren't satisfied.

Colyo Wrote:Meh, whatever way you decide to get your NX, we can't change the fact Nexon wants to use these events as a marketing ploy. Whatever the arguement here, it will not effect the truth. You can work for your NX by MTSing, or you can throw money Nexons way to skip the work, but you must do one of them to attend these events. So, you expect Nexon to become a charity? Nothing in life comes for free. They need to pay their workers and run the servers, which most people fail to see.

I too notice the increasing amount of egocentrism surviving beyond Piaget's Preoperational Stage. It is only from these people from which the Arch Mages can benefit though. =/

Bacon Wrote:Since it seems many of you guys have trouble reading what I'm saying, I guess I'll just repeat a few things and make it easier to understand.Event's are also year round, if you don't notice. Nexon has one or two events involving NX and everyone goes crazy? What about those other dozen events we have that don't involve NX. I recall the best events such as Xmas doesn't involve NX.
I am not saying that I don't want the rich to benefit. I have no problem with you enjoying things more because you're a high level or you're rich. That's fine. You want to masturbate to Zakum or Horntail? Feel free to do so. You've leveled up and spent that much time into the game, and all those bosses are the rewards of your time. While I agree that a lower leveled person or a new player should not be able to have the same amount of fun with an elite player, I have to disagree about the context of this enjoyment.
For the last time, these are events. These events do not last forever. These events are here for a few months and then go away. Events are not Gach. Events are not Bosses. Events are not PQs that you need to put time and effort into in order to enjoy.
Events are supposed to be fun. The point of an event is to allow everyone in the game to have a little bit of fun. It's to stop the mindless grind for just a few weeks in order to pursue something that will be fun and a bit rewarding. These events are not supposed to be things that the rich and powerful will dominate in. They are not supposed to be other ways of making the rich richer, while not helping the poor at all. They aren't supposed to be things that will automatically make a new player rich. They are supposed to be fun. This year, I really like the huge Pumpkin, because I did not have to be a high level to enjoy. I did not have to be rich to enjoy it. All I needed was a few friends to share the experience with.
Now, I really don't see how you guys are arguing stupid things like "Oh..well I spent more time in the game so I should benefit from events more than a new person." Events should have nothing to do with the amount of time you've spent on the game. It should have nothing to do with the amount of money you have. It should be all about pure enjoyment, and should be something that is fair to all. When I say "fair to all", I mean that anyone can enjoy it. The rich, the poor, the strong, the weak, the old, the new...everyone should be able to enjoy this event.
Don't give me bull about how someone can use the MTS to earn money. While that may be true, I hope you realize that not everyone can use the MTS in the same way you might. Think about all these new players. Why should they be shunned aside from an event because they are new? According to your logic, they aren't shunned aside because they can use the MTS. Well, when was the last time you've bought a wooden bat for 1.5k NX? That's right, never.
To break it down even more for certain people out there....
EVENTS = INTERNET PORN -> EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE FUN
GACH/BOSSES/ETC = HOT GIRLS ONLY RICH AND POWERFUL CAN HAVE FUN WITH

These recent events have only allowed people with a significant amount of mesos or nx to participate.Again, there are the non NX events, but whenever Nexon releases a NX Event, someone snaps and goes crazy. I admit that I did the same last year, because there was no equal opportunity to gain NX, but now that there is, people should stop complaining. And again, if someone wants to get rich, there are options available for everyone. It's their choice whether or not they want to utilize these options. (There's also quite a few guides for making money, class specific or not.)[/QUOTE]
Cyanne Wrote:Fire and ice demon actually make archmages a pretty good class at killing crimson guardians. Lightning charge with advanced charge blow isn't THAT horrible since the paladin would constantly be hitting multiple monsters with such thick mobs at crimson guardians, but I agree paladins need a break. They should've at least been able to use advanced charge blow without a charge. Then they would be consistently hitting 99,999 on everything they encounter. Guess what. I went there and ran through 1K black elixers in an two hours and barely got anything because my Meteo's damage is halved, thus allowing me to 9hit and occasionally 8hit a mob. However, I still got some treasure boxes because Nexon didn't mess up their droprates of it, knowing that the monsters are hard to kill and thus giving everyone fair opportunity. They could have just as well added it to normal training mobs and lowered the droprate, and people would still complain? Always.

Just not right now. :f6: Everyone seems to have forgotten those GM events last month, or the 2x events during the summer. Even the thanksgiving and Christmas pie events. Last year's Christmas event was exceptional (cuz of the cutest items released). But unfortunately, again, whenever Nexon releases a NX related event, everyone seems to forget and they go crazy. It's really quite lame.
