Not surprising, considering the Uchiha clan were descendants of the Son who inherited the Sage's Eyes. It only makes sense that Rinnengan flows in their genes. Itachi couldn't have learned the Rinnengan since he didn't have the eternal mangekyou. I guess Nagato's eyes were actually Madara's. Still don't understand how Rinnengan can get transferred to people though.

If you mean how the Six Paths get it, it's kind of like a genjutsu/mind control I guess and it shows while the user takes them over.
