A response to the hackings.

You know what, lets just assume you have a point and they are completely lacking in the transaction logs sector of their dB; at this point, they owe us whatever we goddamned want. So, in the offchance that you are right, who cares, we deserve those extra items for all the horrible bullpomegranate we have had to put up with for years now.

People HAVE had their accounts 100% recovered, exact replica's of the items. You can't just make a mule and move the equips, it's like insurance fraud. However cases of where the items are traded to a player with a minimal transaction, rather than the value, it's obvious these items were stolen. Your point is weak, not misunderstand as insurance companies deal with this kind of pomegranate all the time. And I'm not sure you realized by the economy is already sh`it.

Just like insurance fraud, there WILL be abusers of the system.
The risks would outweigh the benefits from nexon's point of view.
1. Just getting the items back is essentially creating items out of thin air( exactly the same as duping)
even if the original owner actually lost his items, there is now 2 copies of that gear on the market. If every item that was ever hacked from someone suddenly duped itself, the market would collapse.
This would affect EVERYONE, not just the people who got hacked.
it may seem like a huge number of people got hacked, but in reality it would be under 2% of the game who actually did
Fking up the economy even harder in order to accommodate 2% of the population would be flat out stupid.
