In many cases zhonya's has done more for me than other defensive items would (except maybe banshee's, but you're losing out on ap)

Didn't think of Zhonya's, but that's because I only theorycraft it on Morgana and Swain and such. But hey, if it works and works. Plus it's 50 defense.
